About 35% of our patients are Qualified due to chronic and severe pain. Examples include low back pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, frequent and severe migraines and more. Most chronic pain patients use the MMJ to help get some evening relief of their pain and to help them sleep. Others will use dispensary products to help them better deal with their pain throughout the day. Some use the MMJ to reduce their reliance on opioid medications or to stop their opiates all together. We have seen some amazing results across the pain spectrum.

Although there is not much scientific research to show how MMJ helps those who suffer from anxiety, we have seen many great results. Most of our anxiety patients use MMJ just in the evening or around bedtime to get a good night’s sleep and MMJ can be great for this. But there are forms of the MMJ at the dispensaries which can help to lower generalized daytime anxiety as well as products that can head off or treat anxiety attacks or triggers.

About 5% of our patients are certified with a Qualifying Medical Condition or Autism. There have been two double blind and randomized studies using MMJ to treat Autism and the results are in line with what we see in our patient population. Not only does MMJ help with communication, socialization and restricted interest - 3 of the core symptoms of autism - but many see improvement in sleep, self-injurious behaviors, tantrums, dietary choices and potty training and other areas as well. Just to be clear, we are starting most of autistic patients on products that contain mostly CBD with just a bit of THC included. We guide our patients’ families to find the proper combinations to bring balance back into the lives of their loved ones.

Who knew that MMJ would be so effective against inflammatory bowel disease including Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis and IBS. It turns out that both THC and CBD act to shut off the body’s production of the most inflammatory chemicals that lead to these disorders in very similar ways that the “biologics” act. But MMJ gets these good results without a $7,000 shot once a month as without suppressing the immune system. These patient comprise about 8% of our patient population.
